Dr. Emily Plasker is a second generation chiropractor from Marietta, Georgia. She grew up with regular chiropractic care as a focal point of her lifestyle and attributes her health and wellbeing to having a nervous system that functions at optimum allowing her body to adapt to life’s daily stresses.
Dr. Emily has always enjoyed learning about the human body.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado. While living in Boulder, she interned with the Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Project where she worked with people suffering from an array of nervous system issues. There she became aware of how your quality of life is directly related to the health of your spine and nervous system. She graduated from Life University in December 2017. She graduated 3rd in her class Summa Cum Laude and received awards for representing chiropractic philosophy and vitalism.
Dr. Emily has a passion for working with pregnant women and is certified in the Webster Technique. She believes pregnant women should be informed and empowered about their bodies innate abilities to give birth. As a compliment to chiropractic care, she loves hosting perinatal fitness classes to help moms learn how to move their bodies in a way that promotes postpartum recovery. She loves working with kids starting from their first breath of life by making sure that their spine and nervous system are free of injury from the pregnancy and birth process. During her time at Life University she interned at one of the largest pediatric chiropractic practices in the state of Georgia. She also went on service trips to Haiti and Mexico where she helped hundreds of kids, moms, dads, and grandparents achieve greater levels of health and vitality through chiropractic care.
When Dr. Emily is not in the office she enjoys hiking, doing yoga, skiing, rock climbing, reading, baking yummy healthy desserts, playing with her dog, listening to live music, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
